H&S Workspace Risk Assessment

Duty of Care

A company director or designated H&S officer has a duty of care for office workers, but because an office is not a high risk environment, this is often ignored or forgotten.
This is where Form Consulting can help you. We can identify and address potential hazards in the commercial and home office space, so that you can create a safe, productive and efficient environment for all staff.

Review and Report

All our projects are director led. We will come onsite to review the situation using proven international methodology.  With regard to the home office, we can do this via video or photos. Our small and dedicated team can then prepare a comprehensive report and offer recommendations that will help improve efficiency, safety and workplace satisfaction.

Working From Home

Experience indicates that there is a proliferation in workplace aches and discomfort in office staff who are working from home.  Difficulties like neck and back problems with staff are on the increase.  For example, it’s okay to lounge around or sit on the bed with a laptop for a short time but to do a day’s work like this on the computer would cause stress followed by pain to the joints and muscles.

Home Office

It’s important that staff get a suitable work environment.  In fact, the H&S Work Act 2015 says that people working from home must be supported by the company with a desk and other equipment comparable to those found in the main office.
